I enjoyed this project, it was fun walking around city and taking in the different views. Most of the pictures were taken at dusk over the past couple of weeks.

Portrait

I had so much fun this week. My son and his girlfriend let me take a ton of pictures of them. We laughed alot throughout the "photo shoots" as they called it. While many of the pictures were off, either lighting or no smiles etc it was still fun.

Alittle frustration!

This is a picture of my nephew Jake taken during a hike we took yesterday. We saw several snakes, he is all boy so that thrilled him (me not so much!). I adjusted the color and played around with the filters, it took alot of time to figure it all out. Tried to add some text but was unable to figure that out, will keep trying.

More fun

This is a picture of flowers my kids sent me. The lighter picture is the original, the darker one is the one I played with. I adjusted the noise and used larger brush strokes to darker it up and create shadows. The more I get used to the program the more fun I am having!

Playing around

I am getting alittle more comfortable with Photoshop. Was playing around with mosiacs, this is a picture I took in Bermuda last summer, they grow wild all over the island.

Another try at it!

A couple more pictures that I played around with. I had some issues with eraser, not sure what I did wrong but will keep playing with it. I changed the hue and saturation on the two pictures. Am finding that it is alot of trial and error.

Lighting project

I had fun playing with the lighting tools in Photoshop. I played around with the shadowing, highlights and contrast. For the black and white photo I used the infrared effect.

I did it!!

I finally manuvered my way through Photoshop and figured out how to layer! I have to say that I don't think that Photoshop Elements is all that user friendly. This is a wedding photo of my husband's Grandparents, the crocus' were planted by her many years ago in our front yard. I believe that they were married in the late 1920's.

Landscape photos

These photos are of the baseball field that our high school team uses. My son played on this field for 4 years so it holds a special place in my heart. This time of year it holds so much hope of a winning season, even though there is still some snow on the ground, spring shall come!

Different Lighting

From our back window we have a beautiful view of Killington Mountain. In the summer when the trees fill in we can't see the mountains but in the winter it is beautiful. The shots I took were at different times of the day. The darker one was taken as snow was coming in over the mountain.

Patty's Collage

I took pictures of some of the quilts that I have made, I liked the way the different colors and patterns fell together. I really enjoyed working with the collage process, it was interesting how the pictures could look so different when laid out differently.

Week 2

I took pictures of the ice hanging off of a pine hedge at work. It was interesting how the ice looked from different angles, it was late afternoon and the sun was shining brightly on the hedge.

This blog thing is new to me, hope that I have it right. The picture is of a beautiful Bermuda sunset.
